Do you know …?

Joel Surnow, producer of “24”, Kelsey Grammar, Teri Hatcher, Bo Derek, Adam Sandler, Robert Duvall, Chuck Norris, Kevin Costner and Mel Gibson are Republicans. Surnow, Sandler and Duvall openly support Giuliani; Chuck Norris supports Huckabee and the most of the others ‘stay in the closet’. In the first nine months this year, McCain received $390,000 from Hollywood, Giuliani $360,000, but Hillary took in $2.2 million and Barrack Hussein Obama was awarded $2.1 million; all Democrats got theirs from ‘A-list actors’, including Tom Hanks, Tobey MaGuire, Eddy Murphy, Edward Norton, Morgan Freeman and Ben Stiller.

Environmental groups went to the 9th Circus Court of Appeals to block oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Reserve (ANWAR) to appeal the lower court decision which approved drilling. The Environmentalists told the court that impact of drilling on “bowhead whales” had not been properly considered”.

Assemblyman John Benoit, now running for the California state senate, turned down a 2008 pay raise because of the poor “budget situation”; which all Californians can agree is caused by excessive spending approved by Democrat legislators with connivance of Governor Schwarzenegger.

Palestinians have cried to their protector, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, for help in preventing Israel from lawfully building 300 homes in the city of Jerusalem which is controlled by Israel. Islamists claim Jerusalem is their property despite the city never being mentioned in the Koran and being mentioned 800 times in the bible as belonging to the Jews. Naturally, Israel Prime Minister Ehud (‘peace in our time’) Olmert is sympathetic to the Palestinians.

The New York Times (‘all the news that’s fit to print’) reported that Somalia’s President was hospitalized with a “severe cold” (apparently it was a 'slow' news day).

President Bush finally did a good thing and threatened to veto Democrat legislation decreasing Medicare payments to Doctors who treat Medicare patients because "this would encourage more Doctors to turn away Medicare recipients" (gosh, do you really think so?).

The news media did not report that students on campuses of left-leaning universities participated in “Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week” highlighting the threat from Islamic Jihad and oppression of women (something the National Organization of Women has failed to do, ever). Featured speakers were Senator Rick Santorum, Ann Coulter, Robert Spencer, Nonie Darwish (World Affairs Council of the Desert speaker May 2008) Michael Medved, Dennis Prager, and Daniel Pipes. The event was organized by David Horowitz Freedom Center, Young America’s Foundation and the Leadership Institute. Website references in support of the student protest grew from 6,000 to over 644,000. Anti-American leftists and organizations supporting Islamic Jihad organized responses and called the demonstrators “Muslim haters”. Supporting the Islamists’ efforts was: the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Nation Magazine, HuffingtonPost, and Campus Progress (a campus organization created by George Soros and the Clinton Political Network).

Political philosophy influences our tastes in entertainment, according to a Zogby International survey of 3,939 adults.
-66% of conservatives and 55% of liberals say they can tell a person’s politics based on their taste in entertainment. (And I would add, a man's hair style - ponytails anyone?)
- 76% of conservatives say Hollywood’s TV and movies “very often” contain political messages.
- 68% of liberals seek out entertainment containing political themes and commentary.
- 68% of conservatives never watch CBS “60 Minutes”, which tops the list of liberal prime-time TV preferences.
- 21% of conservatives never go to movies, compared with 8% of liberals.
